From Steam Launch to Stucco: The Story of The Sembrich Studio

Join us for a fascinating look at how Marcella Sembrich’s century-old teaching studio came to be built, the origins of “Pine Hill” – built for Sembrich’s daughter-in-law across the road from the studio, and the Lake George architectural landscape in 1924. Presented by J.B. Clancy, an architect and artist with deep ties to the Adirondacks.

Gala: Chopin by Candlelight

We bring down the curtain on our centennial summer with an elegant candlelit evening and a salon concert featuring music by one of the world’s most beloved composers, Frederic Chopin.

Piano virtuoso Christopher Johnson performs a selection of some of the most enduring works by this “Poet of the Piano,” exploring the master’s full range of expression, from the brilliant and heroic to the poetic. The performance will be followed by a Parisian style lakeside reception, accompanied by the string duo of Amanda and Jonathan Brin.
