STAGE 284 Main Stage PRESENTS: Richard O'Brien's The Rocky Horror Show
In this cult classic, sweethearts Brad and Janet, stuck with a flat tire during a storm, discover the eerie mansion of Dr. Frank-N-Furter. As their innocence is lost, Brad and Janet meet a houseful of wild characters, including a rocking biker and a creepy butler. Through elaborate dances and rock songs, Frank-N-Furter unveils his latest creation: a muscular man named “Rocky.”
Complete with sass from the audience, cascading toilet paper, and an array of other audience participation props, this deliberately kitschy rock ’n’ roll sci-fi gothic musical is more fun than ever!
Please be aware, The Rocky Horror Show has two casts: Antici & Pation. (Click here to view the cast lists.)
CONTENT NOTE: The Rocky Horror Show contains adult language, profanity, simulated sexual activity, and partial nudity. Some language is considered outdated by today's standards. Created in the 1970s, the musical reflects the era's approach to queerness and sexual exploration while also parodying the B-movie horror and sci fi flicks of the time. While still beloved by fans for its campy celebration of self-expression, gender fluidity, and outsider culture, some callbacks and props used by audiences may carry humor or terminology that can feel alien in a modern context or may not be for all audiences. The Rocky Horror Show is recommended for ages 18+.
This production contains use of strobes, fog, loud noises, gore, simulated sexual acts and props, and partial nudity.
VIP seats (rows AA, A, and aisle seating) are immersive theater experiences and may involve interaction with the actors.
