Celebrated painter Janet Fish turned glasses, fruit, and light itself into her subject. This is her story, told by the people who knew her work best.

Janet Fish spent more than six decades transforming ordinary objects — glasses, fruit, flowers, fabric, reflective surfaces — into dazzling studies of color, movement, and light. She's known for her luminous still lifes and her ability to paint transparency and reflection like almost no one else.

Janet Fish: Catching the Light offers an intimate portrait of the artist: her process, her independence, and a career that never stopped evolving. Through her paintings, her own words, and archival material, the film shows what it means to really look closely at the world.

The screening is followed by a Q&A with members of the Janet Fish Foundation and other experts, sharing personal insight into her life, work, and legacy.
