Chalk the Block at Indian Creek Festival Registration

Saturday, September 19, 2020 8:30 am - 12 noon 

Indian Creek Plaza, at Arthur and 7th

•Registration is free, but space is limited. Preregistration is highly recommended. 

•Contest is located near the 7th Street Bridge and Musical Art Park. Check in at the Caldwell Fine Arts booth.

•Prizes awarded for 10 - 13 (1st = $25), 14 – 18 (1st = $50), and 18 and up (1st =$100), plus gift certificates for runners-up.  

•Winners will be announced before the cardboard kayak race and noted on the sidewalk art. You do not have to be present to win. Please make sure to include updated address information. 

Rules:

1.You may use chalk (including spray chalk), masking tape, brushes, and water. No other materials allowed.

2.One box of chalk will be provided with registration. Artist may bring their own chalk if preferred. Participants must remain within the lines of their assigned space and not damage surrounding paintings.

3.Assignment of space will be at the discretion of the Chalk Art Committee. 

4.No one will be able to participate without an entry form and liability release. Parents of minors must sign for them. Students 15 and under must be accompanied by parent/guardian or supervising adult.

5.The Committee reserves the right to revoke or refuse to grant space at any time, without recourse by the participant. The Committee shall not be liable to anyone for this action.

6.This is an all-ages festival. Please, no nudity or explicit language. Likewise, commercial advertising messages, business logos, and alcohol/tobacco themes are not allowed. The Committee reserves the right to deem any entry inappropriate for a family-themed event.

7.Participants may bring a pillow, blanket, or cardboard to sit or kneel on. 

*A live person does not need to be in the final entry as in past years. 

2.) CFA Children's Theatre: GRADES 1-3 200 200

CFA Children’s Theatre: The Flower of Sunnymount Crest

Scandinavia’s folk tradition comes to life in an enchanting tale of the deep woods where trolls, fairies, and witches keep their secrets. One small girl sets out on a journey to reach her only hope of happiness, an elusive flower on top of Sunnymount Crest. Local children shine in this original musical, directed by Drama Kids International.

Auditions 

All parts are cast with local children, and all children will receive a role. Check back soon for FAQ's and audition materials.
