Experience Ballet Idaho’s The Nutcracker: In a Nutshell, on the Jewett Stage! Enjoy the playful charm of the mice, the magical transformation of The Nutcracker Prince, and the dreamlike adventure that takes Clara to The Land of Sweets. Local children join the professional company in the holiday classic that has captivated people of all ages for generations.
Ballet Idaho's The Nutcracker: In a Nutshell includes the most beloved portions of the ballet, with a running time of just over an hour.

Keefe is an internationally acclaimed Native American jazz vocalist, actor, activist, and educator currently based in New York City. Her professional career has nearly two decades and she has headlined marquee events at the Smithsonian Museum in Washington D.C. as well as opened for the likes of 20-time GRAMMY Award recipient Tony Bennett and 4-time GRAMMY Award winner Esperanza Spalding.
Julia grew up in Kamiah, ID on her tribe’s reservation and her recording, Nobody Else But Me, was recently released to glowing reviews. She is currently directing the Julia Keefe Indigenous Big Band, a new project highlighting the history and future of Indigenous people in jazz, and will be releasing its first studio recording spring 2024. Keefe will be gracing the Caldwell stage with her piano accompanist as the Julia Keefe Duo.

One small girl sets out on a journey to reach her only hope of happiness, an elusive flower on top of Sunnymount Crest. Local children shine in this original musical, directed by Drama Kids International.

Jarabe Mexicano captures the nostalgic spirit of their roots with their brand of “Bordeño-Soul,” which honors the musical tastes and cultural influences of its members. Jarabe, which translates to ‘concoction,’ highlights the eclectic mix of genres they perform ranging from Mexican Folk, Rock & Roll, and Norteño/Tex-Mex to Latin Rock, Trio Romántico, and popular Cumbia. Their traditional Mariachi string instruments and Norteño-inspired drums complement dramatic vocals in English, Spanish, and Spanglish, and shows how this multi-generational ensemble embraces change while still honoring the past.
