This camp is a continuation of the Spring Session’s "Hone that Musical Tone" but new actors are welcome! This camp is designed to help young singers refine their vocal techniques while exploring the unique art of musical ensemble singing. The Motion of Emotion!

Class Description:

This class is the perfect introduction to collaborating with others and expressing yourself on the stage! Students will use music and theater games to explore different emotions and recognize how different emotions feel in our bodies.This class will put a bounce in your step as you groove to tunes designed to get the big feelings up and out!

Campfire Stories

Class Description:

Gather round and share in the warmth of a good story. No sleeping bag or bug spray required—just pack your imagination and join us for a week of stories, games, and outdoor-inspired fun. We'll explore the thrills of life under the stars, from exciting campfire tales to outdoor games, and dive into the spirit of adventure. Whether you're hiking through imaginary forests or discovering the wonders of nature, this camp will ignite your love for the great outdoors and spark your creativity in ways you’ve never imagined!"

MUSICAL SUMMER STAGE: The Love Must Go On

Class Description:

*Campers are NOT required to know how to read sheet music

Join us at this Musical Summer Stage Camp for “The Love Must Go On”, a unique musical theater experience where high school performers will explore one of humanity’s most timeless questions: What is love? Over the course of the camp, students will dive into the many forms love can take—romantic, platonic, community, familial, self-love, heartbreak, healing, and more—through the rich storytelling power of song. Campers will collaborate to choose songs from a wide variety of shows, artists, and styles, which will then be woven together into an original showcase performance. Guided by experienced instructors, students will not only rehearse and perform, but also shape the emotional arc of the production—crafting a musical journey that moves the audience through love in all its beauty and complexity.

Dungeons and Dragons (Aug. FULL DAY CAMP)

Class Description:

Due to popular demand, we're bringing back this epic adventure, but this time it's a 5-day quest! Students will dive into the fantastical world of D&D, learning the basics of gameplay, character creation, and storytelling. Along the way, we’ll also explore theater fundamentals like improvisation, character development, and collaboration, enhancing your D&D experience. Whether you’re new to the game or eager to bring your characters to life with some theatrical flair, this class is the perfect blend of role-playing and performance. Get ready to roll the dice and unleash your imagination!

SUMMER STAGE: Theater of the Oppressed 

• 9am-3pm
• August 25th - August 29th
• Grades 9th-12th

Class Description:

Augusto Boal’s Theater of the Oppressed, students will engage deeply with the main components including Teatro Foro, Image Theater, and Invisible Theater. Students will share their own stories, listen to the stories of others, and co-create theater pieces based on these stories. They will study the profound coercive nature of tragedy as it pertains to contemporary forms of art and also “rehearse” many possible responses and resistance to oppression and try out practices in freedom. Students will apply the concepts of coercive tragedy, poetics, virtue, and catharsis to create their own story at the end of the week.
