Adult Improv

This six-week adult improv class is open to all skill levels! Whether you are brand new to Improv, or a seasoned performer, this class dives into saying “Yes...and”, building dynamic characters, and exploring new games and techniques.

Discovery: Paper Moon 4-6pm 12 2

Discovery: Paper Moon

In this Drama Discovery class, students will follow the Moon’s journey as it falls out of the sky, down to the earth, and adventures to different corners of the world. Using creative drama practices, imagination, and collaboration, these young artists will explore how using their bodies, voices, and ideas can bring stories to life.

  • OPEN TO AGES: Kindergarten- 2nd Grade
  • SCHEDULE: Tuesdays from 4:00-6:00pm; February 8th - March 22nd 2/8, 2/15, NO CLASS 2/22, 3/1, 3/8, 3/15, 3/22

Foundations: Character Creation 4-6pm 12 0

Foundations: Character Creation

This Character Creation class focuses on building skills to develop bold, unique characters by using our bodies and voices. Students will analyze familiar characters from stories and scripts, learn to bring those characters to life, and also imagine new characters to inspire new stories.

  • OPEN TO AGES: 3rd-5th grade
  • SCHEDULE: Fridays from 4:00pm-6:00pm; February 18th - March 25th 2/18, 2/25, 3/4, 3/11, 3/18, 3/25

Spotlight: One-Acts 4-6pm 12 4

Spotlight: One-Acts

Work as an ensemble to explore one-act plays, how to collaborate with a large group, and create bold characters. Using acting activities and techniques, script analysis, and imagination, students will work on creating and performing a one-act play. This six-week session is for actors ready to make bold choices, memorize lines, and share the spotlight with a large team. 

  • OPEN TO AGES: 6th-8th grade
  • SCHEDULE: Thursdays from 4:00pm-6:00pm; February 17th - March 24th 2/17, 2/24, 3/3, 3/10, 3/17, 3/24

Teen Improv - Advanced 4-6pm 16 0

Teen Improv - Advanced

For students who have taken improv classes in the past, and are ready to elevate their play! Teen Improv Advanced builds off of the skills learned in previous improv sessions, and challenges students to be hyper-specific, make a range of bold choices, and explore long-form structures of improv.

Teen Improv - All Skills 4-6pm 16 11

Teen Improv - All Skills

This classic OFT class is great for brand new performers and seasoned veterans! No matter if this is your first time, or fiftieth, this six-week course will hone your improv skills, exercise your creativity and quick thinking, and create some dynamic characters. Play your favorite improv games, learn new skills and activities, and build your own structures with your friends and ensemble!
