Spectrum Dance Theater is committed to giving a platform to under-represented communities, challenging perspectives, and motivating change. Through dance, Spectrum brings together artists, youth, and audiences from diverse backgrounds to participate in the arts and important social and civic conversations. Our communities rely on us, particularly as we strive to address racial and social injustices through art.

This spring 2024, we launched our campaign to raise $500,000 for our organization. Our goal is to support ongoing efforts and ensure high-quality dance experiences for everyone in our community.

Our community has shown us time and again that gathering is the best way to bring joy and meaningful impact to our collective work at Spectrum. With that, we are delighted to announce the 75th Birthday Fundraiser for Artistic Director Donald Byrd, hosted by our Spectrum Dance Theater leaders, on July 20th, 2024, in Seattle, WA.
