Since their 2016 arrival in Seaside as Escape To Create Playwrights-in-Residence, UK theatre artists Nicholas Collett and Gavin Robertson have established a unique and enduring relationship with The REP Theatre and 30A audiences. This January, the distinguished duo returns with Escape To Create, creating a script written exclusively for The REP Theatre. Collaborating on a fictional, never-before-performed 1930s radio script, the classic novel of "Frankenstein" undergoes an entirely new interpretation as a live 21st century podcast. Drawing on the iconic Orson Welles version of “The War of the Worlds” and with all sound effects created by the cast of three actors, “Frankenstein: A 3D Podcast” will delight and enthrall audiences in a brilliant new play performed exclusively at The REP Theatre.
