Dan Rodriguez has a bluesy roots rock aesthetic with sharp singer/songwriter chops and a folkie side that’s unafraid to express itself with nothing more than an acoustic guitar in tow. His fifth studio release, titled 25 Years, underscores Rodriguez’s songwriting and performing strengths while likewise illustrating his continuing exponential growth. Rodriguez’s earlier efforts earned him a meaningful measure of commercial notice, namely placing songs for ads during high profile events like the Super Bowl and the World Series. Over the years, he has shared the stage with artists like The Civil Wars, Andy Grammer, Will Hoge, and Haley Reinhart.

With influences ranging from traditional Jazz to Folk-Punk to Country, Snaps for Sinners is dedicated to creating an all-inclusive experience through the blending of multicultural arts. Since the release of their first album, How the Apple Falls, and the success of their debut tour from Northern California to North Carolina and back, Snaps for Sinners have been igniting audiences nationally. They are now touring the release of their second album, The Cat’s Medicine.

Andrew Duhon

Andrew Duhon is a songwriter from New Orleans whose songs have earned him comparisons to John Prine and Jim Croce. He has released four recordings, including his 2014 release, “The Moorings,” which was nominated for a Grammy award for “Best Engineered Album.” His latest album, “False River” is described by American Songwriter as “fresh, innovative, and complicated in all the right ways.” After several years honing and traveling as a solo performer, he now most often performs with a trio, a combination of upright bass, drums, and three-part harmonies that bring the sonic landscape of his newest record, “False River” to life.

Improv Bootcamp for Kids!

At The REP, not only do we perform and share stories, but we also share the craft of storytelling and theatre arts with local and visiting students. This Spring, The REP continues our popular children’s Improv Bootcamp sessions. Through these sessions, students learn all the basics of improv by focusing on teamwork, creativity, and thinking outside the box. Students as young as 5 get to be onstage, learning and performing for their friends and family with The REP’s talented actor/teachers. On Thursday of each week, you will see firsthand how much your child has grown and embraced their creativity through our Improv Army performance where they will show off their incredible new skills.

The REP Film Club: Honeyland

Hatidze lives with her ailing mother in the mountains of Macedonia, making a living cultivating honey using ancient beekeeping traditions. When an unruly family moves in next door, what at first seems like a balm for her solitude becomes a source of tension as they, too, want to practice beekeeping, while disregarding her advice. The most awarded film out of this years Sundance Film Festival, Honeyland is an epic, visually stunning portrait of the delicate balance between nature and humanity that has something sweet for everyone.

Sofia has toured the US several times from her first success at the Lollapalooza festival in 2008 and has been invited to officially showcase at South By Southwest for 3 years as well as to The Folk Alliance International Conference. Her newest album “Paws of a Bear” was released in September 2019.

Kyshona & Shannon LaBrie

Kyshona has always lent her voice and music to those that feel they have been silenced or forgotten. She began her career as a music therapist and found the need to write independently and find her own voice, and endeavor which led her to the fertile ground of the Nashville creative community and songwriting culture. Since then, she has learned how to balance her music career with her passion to heal the hurting.

Music by Nashville chanteuse Shannon LaBrie defies genre and brings to life insightful stories of a woman who remains true to herself in a life where uncertainty is certain. Mississippi-born singer/songwriter Charlie Mars is a country- and folk-inflected pop artist blessed with a warm vocal croon and a knack for crafting poignant, earthy songs. He has been a journeyman artist with major label releases and high profile gigs opening for the likes of REM, KT Tunstall, and Steve Earle, among others. The Mississippi-based troubadour developed a sonic style uniquely his own. With its sparse instrumentation and focus on transcendent grooves and ambient space, his minimalist approach to music ads maximum intensity to Mars’ already powerful songwriting.

Callaghan

Originally from the UK, Callaghan moved to the US in the summer of 2010 to record and tour with Grammy-nominated Shawn Mullins. Since then, Callaghan has continuously been on the road building her audience and headlining shows across the USA. The latest chapter of Callaghan's US journey has taken her to LA to collaborate with producers who work at the pinnacle of the movie soundtrack industry, and Anthony Resta who has previously produced Blondie, Duran Duran, and Elton John. Together they produced Callaghan's 2018 album, simply-titled Callaghan. Recently, Callaghan opened for James Taylor and Paul Simon in London's Hyde Park.
