It’s time to level up with Improv Bootcamp for Kids! At The REP, not only do we perform and share stories, but we also share the craft of storytelling and theatre arts with local and visiting students. In our popular Improv Bootcamp workshops, students jump into action by learning all the basics of improv comedy and performance with unique challenges, teamwork exercises, and interactive theatre games. Improv Bootcamp is virtually the best for boosting your child’s creativity and providing a fun, engaging experience kids will love. Advanced registration is required. Registration must be completed by 2:00 pm on the day of each class session.

FRANKENSTEIN: THE 3D PODCAST

Mary Shelley's 1818 literary masterpiece, "Frankenstein," undergoes an entirely new comedic interpretation as a live 21st-century podcast in this "hilarious and brilliant" new play from award-winning international playwrights and Escape 2 Create Alums, Nicholas Collett and Gavin Robertson, along with The REP's very own Brook Stetler. 
For over a century, the story of Dr. Frankenstein and his famous monster has inspired countless books, films, television programs, and even Broadway musicals! But never before has this story been told by just three actors playing all the characters while making their own sound effects in front of a live studio audience in a theatrical podcast event in 3D!

Sarah Lee Guthrie’s lineage is undeniable. Professor Nother is giving a talk about Shakespeare authorship in the function room at the Shakespeare pub – but he doesn’t believe the man from Stratford wrote those plays. That’s Will’s cue to kick the door off the hinges and defend his reputation. Come and meet the man himself and take the lid off a legend in your local. He’ll tell you all about his family, what it’s like on tour and the glory days at the Globe. Queen Elizabeth I, Christopher Marlowe and Ned Alleyn – you’ll meet them too. Intermingled with a few of his greatest hits – and maybe a sonnet or a song. Ladies and gentlemen raise your glasses – Your Bard!

CHARLIE MARS

Charlie Mars is a country and folk-inflected singer songwriter blessed with a warm vocal croon and a knack for crafting poignant, earthy songs. He has been a journeyman artist with major label releases and high profile gigs opening for the likes of REM, KT Tunstall, and Steve Earle. The Mississippi-based troubadour grew up listening to various styles of pop/rock, from Michael Jackson to the Violent Femmes, and developed a sonic style uniquely his own. With its sparse instrumentation and focus on transcendent grooves and ambient space, his minimalist approach to music adds maximum intensity to Mars’ already powerful songwriting.

Griffin House is a true, and nowadays rare, musician who writes lyrics so vulnerable and authentic that the listener is irrevocably captured by the powerful experience of sharing along and connecting with his songs. Recording and performing for over a decade, Griffin has toured with the likes of John Mellencamp, Patti Scialfa, and The Cranberries. He has released ten albums and his songs have been featured in countless films and television shows. Through his songs, Griffin shares his perspective on how people remember the past with rose-colored glasses and how we grow up and realize what we deeply need.
