Generic Theater presents the regional premiere of TARRYTOWN — a funny, tuneful, and intense musical drama. Winner of the 2017 Outstanding New Musical award from the San Diego Theatre Critics Circle and finalist for the 2019 Richard Rodgers Award.

Beloved in the musical theatre world as both a challenging and esoteric show, TARRYTOWN is a loose modernization of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Newly arrived music teacher Ichabod befriends married couple Katrina and Brom. Their unexpected new bond forces each of them to confront ghosts from the past as they gallop toward an unfamiliar and uncertain future. At the intersection of myth, love story, and American classic, TARRYTOWN is the perfect reimagining of Irving's legend for the spooky season.
