Julie Taymor’s radical reimagining of Shakespeare’s most gruesome play, “Titus Andronicus,” unfolds in a feverishly surreal, past-meets-present dream space where Roman general Titus (Anthony Hopkins) returns victorious from war with the Goth queen Tamora (Jessica Lange) as his hostage, setting in motion a shocking tragedy of bloody revenge.
