The Children's Literature Association named this "the best American children's book of the past two hundred years," and Joseph Robinette, working with the advice of E.B. White, has created a play that captures this work in a thrilling and utterly practical theatrical presentation.  Like the book this play follows a young girl named Fern who saves the life of a runt piglet named Wilbur. Wilbur is then taken to live on a farm where he meets a host of characters, including a barn spider named Charlotte. When Wilbur is in danger of being slaughtered, Charlotte takes it upon herself to save him by spinning webs that praise his virtues.
