Broadway star and Vineyard resident Katharine Cornell narrates this timeless documentary.  In its scenes, her longtime partner, Oscar-winning filmmaker Nancy Hamilton, captures the Vineyard’s history, charm, and spirit. She used the home movies of Vineyards (dating from the 1920s to the 1960s) plus voice-overs from local residents. Created in 1971, Cornell and Hamilton created this cultural treasure in honor of the Town of Tisbury’s tercentenary celebration. This gift to the Island they loved is as fascinating and relevant to us today as it was when it first screened on the Vineyard.
