| The High 48's- Bluegrass Band-Home for the Holidays
Since forming in northeast Minneapolis in 2006, The High 48s have been making music that combines the soulful sound of classic bluegrass with a modern attitude.
They’re a band with one foot in tradition and the other in the world of music today, and one of the very few who can find an overlooked bluegrass classic in a song by M. Ward or the Clash then throw down hard on a standard by Bill Monroe.
The High 48s are also a band of songwriters. Here, too, they take a modern approach, heeding the well-worn advice to writers: write what you know. Their songs ring true to their lives as northern city-folk rather than an imagined “sweet, sunny south” of coal mines and dark hollers.
The band takes its name from railroad slang for the boxcars originally used to transport troops on the front lines in WWI that could carry 40 soldiers or 8 horses, and were later used in the US on fast-moving “hot shot” freight trains by train-hoppers looking for work during the Great Depression. | Buy Tickets |

| Ring of Kerry- Irish Music Band & Irish Dancers
Ring of Kerry is a bursting-with-energy Irish music ensemble that captures the hearts of listeners. Based in Minnesota, the group takes its name from the beautiful craggy drive in southwestern County Kerry, Ireland. Its Celtic music, however, is played with a heart much closer to their American home.
All five of Ring of Kerry's engaging musicians sing and play several instruments. From the thundering sound of the bodhran to the sparkle of the hammered dulcimer; from the lilt and rhythm of fiddle and guitar to the haunting wails of the flute and penny whistles, the band has developed a blend of music that is animated and fun, while ruggedly beautiful like their namesake region. | Buy Tickets |
| Matt Vee & The Killer Vees- "I Am, He Said"- a Celebration of Neil Diamond
“We are saying what HE said,” laughs Matt Vee, referring to the one and only Neil Diamond. Matt, Jeff and Tommy Vee, nephew and sons of the legendary Bobby Vee, respectively, join forces with their family and friends to celebrate the music from the timeless catalog of Neil Diamond. With songs like “Cracklin’ Rosie,” “Song Sung Blue,” and “Sweet Caroline,” Neil Diamond sold over 100 million records worldwide with music that became the soundtrack to one generation after another with hits spanning five decades. A prolific songwriter, he penned songs recorded by everyone from Elvis Presley to Deep Purple and, of course, the Monkee’s classic, “I’m A Believer.”
“This is not a typical tribute show,” says Tommy Vee. “This is a celebration of an amazing musical icon, one we all love and respect. We have been fans since we were in grade school and have performed Neil’s tunes over the years in various bands. We have recruited an incredible group of singers and players and have gone back to the original records,” he explains, “It is all about the vocals and Matt absolutely nails it! It’s going to be a rockin’ night!” | Buy Tickets |
