ABOUT THE SHOW

Port of Entry invites you to step inside the real-life stories of immigrants and refugees from all parts of the world living side by side in a single apartment building in one of the country’s most diverse immigrant communities: Chicago’s Albany Park.

Each performance of Port of Entry welcomes just 28 audience members into an iconic courtyard apartment building exquisitely recreated within a 1929 warehouse. With each step through this 3-story immersive world, guests experience the struggles, joys, and triumphs of people from around the globe, forging new lives alongside one another.

Co-created by Albany Park Theater Project and Third Rail Projects and performed by APTP’s youth ensemble, Port of Entry will take you on a journey through time and across cultures.

Pricing

Port of Entry offers choose your price ticketing. You can choose one of the options or set a price of your own ($35 minimum). Guests at every price level enjoy the same experience.

Please consider purchasing tickets at $140 or $70 if you can afford to do so. This helps us cover the cost of share Port of Entry with you.

$140 - True Cost
The actual cost per guest to run a performance and pay our performers and staff.
$70 - Subsidized
Covers 50% of the cost per guest to run a performance. Remaining costs are subsidized by grants and donations.
$35 - Budget
Same experience, lower price
Guests at every price level enjoy the same experience.
