| The Christmas ballet “The Snow Queen” is based on the world-famous fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen. This fascinating, kind, romantic story set to the music of Edvard Grieg, Jules Massenet, Mozart, and Vivaldi, will give unforgettable bright emotions of happiness for adults and children.
Handsome Kai, robbers, forest fairies, funny Snowman, fabulous trolls, and, of course, brave beautiful Gerda who will pass all difficulties on her way.
Kai and Gerda are sitting in their garden among roses when a shard of a witch’s mirror gets into Kai’s eye. His heart becomes hard and cold. One winter day a whirlwind of snow rises around him, and he disappears. He is taken by the Snow Queen who lives in a world of ice and snow.
Gerda goes in search of Kai. There are many challenges ahead. But love helps her get through them and free Kai from the spell of the Snow Queen.

The Klamath Dance and Exercise winter showcase is a chance for students to show their developing skills and techniques that they have been learning, as well as a chance for young dancers to perform on a big stage for the first time in a simplified recital. The showcase also features numbers by the Klamath Dance Team as they prepare for their upcoming competitions.

| Community Band- St. Patrick's Day Celebration
Klamath musicians gathered together at the Mazama High School band room in early 2015 in order to fill a gap in the local musical community: a place for talented local wind and percussion musicians to learn, play, and share traditional and contemporary band music. Today the Klamath Falls Community Band consists of over 40 musicians and performs an average of three concerts per year in the spring, summer, and winter. | ‘Souzou’ can be written in three ways, meaning ‘creation,’ ‘imagination,’ or ‘noisy,’ alluding to a force by which new ideas are born and take shape in the world. Inspired by these words, the mission of Unit Souzou is to build creative, imaginative works while honoring the history and roots of the taiko art form. The core of Unit Souzou’s artistic voice is personal and authentic, sound shaped and inspired by form and movement. The essence of Unit Souzou is an expressive blend of taiko and Japanese folk dance, forging new traditions for evolving communities. In addition to creating groundbreaking professional theatrical works, Unit Souzou is deeply committed to sharing taiko through community performances and collaborations, public classes for adults and youth, and school-based education programs.
Unit Souzou was founded in 2014 by Co-directors Michelle Fujii and Toru Watanabe, relentless innovators at the forefront of a growing artistic movement within the taiko community. Fujii and Watanabe met at Warabi-za, Japan’s foremost traditional folk-dance troupe based in Akita, Northern Japan. They have been guest artists and collaborators with many North American and international taiko groups. | Get Tickets |
| Formed back in 2011 and brought together by the Klamath Blues Society, the band plays a selection based in blues music.
Their selections have also grown to include southern rock, R&B, bluegrass and other genres that reflect the interests of their members who include Karl Knudsen, Marty Ledgerwood, Bill Maddalena, Andrew Smith, Staton Smith, Edwin Tuhy, Corey Hansen and Robert Harlow.
