Johnny Wild and the Delights
A Night at the Opry

Wednesday, May 23, 2018
5PM & 8PM

We're headed back to Nashville in the early
1950’s & 60’s with A Night At The Opry, a
celebration of all things classic country.
Along with a barnful of hits from Opry staples such as Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn,
Willie Nelson, Marty Robbins and Roy Acuff, you’ll enjoy authentic tribute
performances from Patsy Cline, Kitty Wells, George D. Hay and the King
of Country Music himself, Hank Williams, all live and in living color. Expanding
on their already loaded arsenal, the Delights add pedal steel and fiddle to
the stage to flesh out the sounds of the era, breathing new life into the music
in the same way they have with early rock ’n roll and pop. Even the most casual
of country music fans will appreciate Johnny’s energetic and authentic take on
these classic tunes. Come on down and enjoy a good ol’ fashioned hand-clappin’,
foot-stompin’, barn-raisin’ Night At The Opry with
everyone’s favorite vintage rockers, Johnny Wild and the Delights!

Music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin

Co-Produced by:
• Dr. & Mrs. Robert Cassell
• Marilyn Riggs

Synopsis:
A fabulously fun international award-winning musical based on the adored movie, Legally Blonde, follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes, snobbery and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. This action-packed musical explodes on the stage with memorable songs and dynamic dances. Equal parts hilarious and heart-warming, this musical is so much fun, it should be illegal!

“More and more I continue to value Legally Blonde as a significant musical. Yes, significant. Not just fun: significant, with many positive messages.” – Peter Filichia

Tribute Tuesdsay:
Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 7:30 pm

With their energetic and authentic approach to the music of the 50’s and 60’s, Johnny Wild and the Delights have quickly become the premier tribute project in the Southeast, breathing new life into the sounds of the classic era. Their latest theme show, Surfin’ Safari, will take you on a musical journey through an endless summer of Little Deuce Coupes, Beach Blanket Bingo, Blazing Sun and Roaring Surf. The soaring harmonies of the Beach Boys and The Honeys give way to the bombastic electric guitar work of surf kings Dick Dale and the Ventures as Johnny and the gang lead you down memory lane with hit songs from the Boys themselves (Surfin’ USA, Don’t Worry Baby, Help Me Rhonda, Fun Fun Fun, Barbara Ann, California Girls and many more) along with souped-up classics from Jan and Dean (Surf City), The Rivieras (California Sun), Eddie Cochran (Summertime Blues) and, of course, The Surfaris (Wipeout). Don’t miss the feel good show of the summer!
