Join us for an afternoon of intrigue, mystery and fun on the Lake Queen, as you help to solve the mystery of “whodunit,” in The Newport Opera House Association’s “Murder Mystery on the Lake Queen!”
A local cast of characters will lead you through comedic twists and turns on board the Lake Queen. Spot the clues and become a detective as you try to determine who committed the crime. This interactive event is sure to be an adventure to enthrall all ages!
Guests are welcome to dress in 1920’s inspired clothing; prizes will be given for best detective and best 1920’s attire/costumes!
The ticket price includes a two-hour cruise on scenic Lake Sunapee on board the Lake Queen; an interactive murder mystery performance; appetizers and non-alcoholic beverages. A cash bar is available.

Join us for a fun-filled evening and unleash your inner-artist by creating a watercolor painting of Newport's beloved Corbin Covered Bridge.
Local artist and instructor, Patti Warren, will lead workshop participants in a step-by-step watercolor painting experience. Patti will explain, demonstrate and guide you through the completion of a memorable painting of Newport’s beloved and picturesque covered bridge. All supplies will be provided.
Event price includes one complimentary beverage ticket, a "behind the scenes" tour of the Newport Opera House (which will begin promply at 6:00PM), and your painting!

Kick off the holiday season by coming to see The World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra, the most popular and sought after big band of all time, as it performs for one night only on Friday, December 1, 2023, on the stage of the historic Newport Opera House in Newport, NH!
The World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra will delight you as they perform their greatest hits and timeless classics, including “In the Mood,” Chattanooga Choo Choo.,” Pennsylvania 6-5000” “String of Pearls” and their theme song “Moonlight Serenade,” as they continue their national tour. In addition to all of Glenn Miller’s biggest hits, this special holiday show will include a program of Christmas classics and songs of the holiday season!
Over 18 musicians and singers will bring the unforgettable Glenn Miller sound to life on the stage of the Newport Opera House, as they perform those songs that everyone remembers. Touring continuously since 1956, the Glenn Miller Orchestra travels over 100,000 miles each year, playing nearly 300 dates.
The Newport Opera House is the perfect venue for this concert and if you feel “In the Mood,” dancing will be available! This is a must-see show for fans of big band music, jazz and swing!
