The Newport Opera House Association proudly presents the musical, Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka, on the Charles H. Massey Community Stage.

Step into a world of pure imagination with Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka, the magical musical based on the beloved story Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Follow young Charlie Bucket as he discovers one of the five golden tickets and wins the chance of a lifetime — a tour through the mysterious and marvelous chocolate factory of the eccentric candy maker, Willy Wonka.

Featuring delightful songs including “The Candy Man,” “I’ve Got a Golden Ticket,” and “Pure Imagination,” this whimsical production is filled with colorful characters, larger-than-life surprises, and plenty of sweet treats along the way.

Set in the historic Newport Opera House, this all-ages event features a dance floor, with table seating on the Main Floor and additional seating in the balcony for listening.

This is a general admission event; seating is first-come, first-served. Doors open at 6:00 PM. Cash bar (21+) and snacks available for purchase.

The Newport Opera House Association
presents a special free screening of the award-winning musical film “1776,” at the historic Newport Opera House – perfect for the entire family, as we celebrate America’s 250th anniversary!

Enjoy this beloved classic in a unique setting with café tables and theatre-style seating on the Main Floor, along with balcony seating. All seating is general admission and available on a first-come, first-served basis, so plan to arrive early for the best choice of seats.

• Patrons may reserve up to four (4) tickets per order
• Suggested donation of canned goods at door to benefit the Newport Food Pantry (NACC)

On July 11th, the Newport Opera House Association is heading to Ogunquit, Maine for a spectacular day at the Ogunquit Playhouse to see the Tony Award-winning musical "Hello, Dolly!”

About the Show:
"Hello, Dolly!" is a beloved Broadway musical bursting with humor, romance, high-energy dancing, and unforgettable songs as matchmaker Dolly Levi sets her sights on love in Yonkers, New York. As her schemes entangle a stubborn millionaire and a cast of hopeful romantics, Dolly discovers it may finally be her own turn to find happiness.

Travel in Comfort:
Arrive at the Newport Opera House by 9am, ready to hop on our Premier Coach departing from the Newport Opera House (Newport, NH). We’ll make a stop in historic Portsmouth, NH, where you’ll have time to explore and get lunch on your own.

The Ogunquit Playhouse:
Experience a matinee performance at “America’s foremost Summer theater,” which is certain to be a memorable show!

After the Show:
We’ll head to Dover, NH for a delicious dinner at Newicks Lobster House Restaurant, known for its fresh seafood and iconic views! Once finished with dinner, we’ll head back to Newport where we expect to be arriving by 8pm.

Ticket includes:
• Round-trip transportation on a Premier Coach
• Mid-morning snack on the bus
• Ticket to the show
• Gratuities for the bus driver

Lunch and dinner are on your own and are not included.
