Or by Liz Duffy Adams

A very bawdy Restoration era costume farce

Or, takes place (mostly) during one night in the life of Aphra Behn, poet, spy, and soon to be the first recognized English professional female playwright. Charles II has regained the throne, reopened the theatres, post Puritan repression, and is allowing women on stage! Nell Gwynne is the most feted actress of the day and determined to distract Aphra!
Aphra is desperate to get out of the spy trade and has a shot at a her newest play being produced, if she can only finish her play by morning despite interruptions from sudden new love, actress Nell Gwynne; complicated royal love, King Charles II; and very dodgy ex-love, double-agent William Scott. Set this the 1600s that make the 1960’s look tame, Or, is a play full of politics, bawdy language, and passion.
