(SENSORY FRIENDLY SHOW)
Wednesday, April 22nd, 2026 @ 6pm
Lou & Nancy Schauer Mainstage Theatre
IMPORTANT INFORMATION BELOW
Each semester, we provide a Sensory-Friendly performance of our currently running Children's Theatre Mainstage Show. For a Sensory-Friendly show, we modify a few things to make the sure it is as accessible as possible, while also being enjoyable for all:
• We leave the house lights on at a low level during the show
• We don't use lighting effects, microphones, or stage makeup, and the sound levels are adjusted to be lower.
• We limit the number of seats sold
• And, most importantly, we encourage patrons to enjoy the show however they need to, which include:
Getting up out of their seats responding to moments in the show, exiting the theatre and returning later, etc.
Shows like this are a perfect opportunity for patrons to come and enjoy a fun night out at the theatre however they need to!

May 2nd, 2026 @ 2:00pm
Mary Cattell Theatre
One Hundred Days of Beagles
By Katarina Creedon
TWS is pleased to announce the second TWS Readers Theater event featuring the staged reading of One Hundred Days of Beagles, written by Katarina Creedon and directed by Edward W. Wavak.
One Hundred Days of Beagles is a magical realist drama about two sisters reuniting in Reykjavik after years on different continents. Octavia has built a life in the U.S., while May stayed in Stockholm to raise a family. Their time together stirs memories of growing up in 1970s Sweden as bilingual daughters of Hungarian and Swedish parents—always slightly outside the frame. As Iceland’s uncanny landscape blurs time and memory, they must choose between the stories they inherited and the lives they want now.
What is Readers Theatre?
Also known as concert readings, this format strips theatre down to its essence: actors, scripts, and storytelling. With scripts in hand and music stands in place, the spotlight shines on voice, expression, and character. It’s a powerful way to experience a play — and a golden opportunity for audience to comment on the work with the creative staff. | Buy Tickets |
